English

 Hello in this final blog i want to talk about the english languages challenges and how these are present in my life. First is neccesary to comment that i didn’t have a good learning process of english in my basic education and middle education. Almost all i know it's thanks to read mangas ,fanfics or academic papers and to use a good app called Duolingo. At my university we have to take various courses of english and that is good for practice but i didn’t learn too much. also i think these must be optional as we need to take too many other subjects.
About the blogs i belive those a good and a funny idea because i can  practice my writting and i enjoy to write about different themes. I loved when we had to talk about movies as i could comment my favorite movie which is titanic the best movie in the world for me. The experience of writting every week is very useful because we have to think and practice for make a good blog.
On the other hand i think that we can learn more about english grammar and practice a little more. Also we should work more in out pronunciation and it be great if we had more task about that so we can improve our weaknesses and in this way we could be better in this language.
I use the english too much inside and outside the university because i have to read a lot of papers in that language. As well as i have a lot of fun Reading my manga and fanfics which are in english also there is a lot of psychology material in English and how i can read a little bit good at that language i can Access to this.

Facso and Psychology

 

Hello everyone this time i have to answer a difficult question. I’m studying my first career so i don’t know how this can be better exactly but i have some ideas about it. For me Psychology should be more practical with more subjects about Field work and the reality of the psychologists out there. Also we need to know more about the public system or the work in different places. Also I think that the CFG and English are a good idea but they don’t have to be obligatory because the people is usually delayed due to these. I like the curriculum of my career and the theorical subjects but as i said i would like more practical subjects.

About the Workload and length of studies… i think that the Workload in the First years of pre-grade is a bit hard because we are just getting used to the university life. The length of the studies is fine but i would wish that we finish the five years with a magister like other universities.

Facso is a pretty faculty but i would like that this will be bigger and with more material as the classrooms are a bit small and we are a lot of students. Also its cafetería is very small and we don’t have the same things like other faculties in the campus.

On the other hand i think that the use of technology is fine but the audio in the big classroom is very bad if you sit in the last seats. That’s a big problem and i hope that someone solve it soon.

About the teaching methods… We are a lot of students so it’s difficult give us a personalized teaching but some teachers do an excellent work.  I think that all of the teachers must be familiar with u-cursos.

Postgraduate studies

 

Hello everyone, this time I want to talk about the possibility of taking Postgraduate Studies. I'm in my 4th year of the psychology career, until the moment I enjoyed very much my academic activities but I want to work First for some years and then I would think about to continue my studies. About postgraduate studies… i think i would like to take some magister or a diplomat but that is not a worry for me at this moment. But i would like to specialize in systemic therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy or constructive cognitive therapy. These psychological currents are very interesting and awesome that I want to learn more about them. My reasons to study a magister or a diplomat are the love for knowledge and the opportunity to know much more about psychology and that way help the people.

There is a course that catches my attention and it is the magister “Adult clinic psychology”, that course sounds so awesome and interesting that I would like to take it when I have the chance. As i want to be a better psychologist i would have to do a magister at some point but i think about it later.

For the moment I want to do that magister or diplomat in Chile, specifically in the university of Chile or the university Alberto Hurtado because their courses sound very well and they are in my line of interest. About the way i would like to study those magister or diplomat i think that part time course is the best option because i want to work too.

My dream Job

 Hello everyone, i hope you are well. This week i want to talk about my dream job and the things associated with this. First i’m studying psychology and i want to work on it but if i have to work part- time or full time in something more i wish to work in a library or a bakery.
But my dream is work in a Cosam ( a center of mental health) because i think that’s a wonderful way to contribute to the society. The people who goes that place need a lot of help as they are very vulnerable and i want to assist them. I always think that we have to make a contribution to make the world a better place to live so i want to be part of the change.
I would like to work indoor mainly because i want to work in a box at the cosam, but i also want to work outdoor sometimes as i wish can do some psychoeducation and little talks about mental health in schools, parks and other places.
On the other hand i would like travel to other countries for study about new therapies but i want to stay in chile and do my best for improve the conditions of people’s life.
I love psychology so i wish to earn enough money to live, buy a house and support my future children.
Well about the postgraduate degree i would like to take.., I think that could be something related to systemic therapy, because i love that kind of therapy because the theoric concepts and techniques make sense to me. Also this semester i have taken some courses of that line and i like them so much.

The best movie

 Hello everyone, this week I want to talk about one of my favorites subjects and that is CINEMA! The last year i had too much time to watch movies (pandemic context) and i enjoyed this a lot, Movies are so fantastic and nothing is better than to watch one when you have free time. I like several genres but i like the most comedy, romance and mystery movies however i hate horror movies because they scare me a lot and i can't sleep well during the night ☹
Well, on the other hand my favorite movie of all times is TITANIC! I love that movie with all of my heart because the characters, the plot, Soundtrack and the locations are the best! The main song “My heart will go on” is one of my most loved songs. Also the couple of Jack and Rose touched my heart deeply and i cried a lot because they didn’t end together :`(
If you haven't seen Titanic i will tell you the Plot (Spoilers XD). Basically Rose DeWitt Bukater is from a high class family and she has to marry a rich man because her family is in bankrupt. Then she aboards the Titanic, the biggest passenger ship of the epoch, and meets Jack Dawson a poor man, and she falling in love with him. But everything ends in tragedy because the ship crashes into an iceberg. Well that’s all, you have to watch Titanic if you can because it's really a masterpiece.

Coronavirus-world

 Hello everyone i know that the pandemic has been long and difficult for so many reasons an this time i want to share with you my experience and hopes about the future in this coronavirus-world.
Well this quarentine is a complex and hard context because a lot of people died and that's so sad. My family and me are fine inside everything. Some things has changed very much and it’s a little frustrating. For example we have to print a safe-conduct even i only want to go to the supermarket that is near to my house and them are limited. In this quarentine my sister and me are in online classes, this has been a little difficult for some reasons, but I think that we are doing it well. My father is working as usual and and mother is feeling a little suffocated but she still talks with her Friends by cellphone. On the other hand i think that we learned a lot as society because we rethink our relationships and the way how we do the things, i hope that the world will change for the better and that we will become in better people. I rediscovered how much I like to write and crocheting, I've never had so much time to myself and I enjoyed a lot!
Also i’m doing it well with my studies but i miss my teachers and classmates, however i don’t miss the 2 hours of travel. Well about the pandemic…. I’m optimistic! I know this won't last long because the vaccination process is progressing well and I hope the people take the coronavirus more seriously.

And the first thing i will do when the pandemic finish it's to travel to the beach

A trip to Arica

Hello everyone, this time i want to talk about a trip that my family and me did one year ago. That travel was so wonderful and magic that i still remember it with enjoy because it was the First time that i traveled so far.

Well, we traveled to the north of chile, specifically the wonderful Arica.  That was my First trip by airplane and it was a scary but exciting experience, because i had only traveled by bus. The food in the airplane was tasty and i watched a movie during the trip.

We rented a departament for three days near to the beach and my sister with her boyfriend rented a car too. The people with who i went that city were my dad, my mom, my older sister and her boyfriend, my little sister and of course me.

The activities we did in that city were a lot of funny things, for example we climbed the Morro de Arica and we visited the museum in the top, it was interesting because there were so many things of the army and the history of the pacific war. Also we went to near cities like putre and of course we enjoyed the beach a lot. We almost forget to buy souvenirs but we remembered at last minute.

That travel was the best because we enjoy each moment and we saw a lot of wonderful things. Also we took a lot of photos but this one is my favorite.
